One small step For Vans: A closer look At The NASA x Vans ‘Space Voyager’ Collection

That’s one small step for Vans, one giant leap for sneaker-kind. Since it first leaked back in April, sneakerheads everywhere have been (im)patiently waiting for the release of the NASA x Vans ‘Space Voyager’ collection, and now, we’re taking a closer look!

Taking design cues from spacesuits used by the us space agency, the four sneaker pack pays homage to the Voyager 1 and 2 and Apollo 11 missions. painted in ‘True White’ and ‘Firecracker’ colourways, the Old Skools feature tonal stitching, a John F. Kennedy space center mid-foot stamp, “Shuttle Mission” tongue tags, removable velcro American flag heel patches, and a reinforced sole unit.

In terms of the Sk8-His, which arrive in ‘True White’ and ‘Black’, they use more or less the same design elements but utilise a lot more velcro patches with Neil Armstrong’s historic “The eagle has landed quote” at the heel. Additionally, the collection also features a NASA-themed jacket, backpack, and two more footwear models, which have yet to be revealed.

Set to land on November 2nd, the NASA x Vans ‘Space Voyager’ collection is truly out of this world! In related news, what would it look like if NASA made a sneaker?
