When Kanye West first teamed up with adidas back in 2015, he made the grand promise that one day, everyone who wants a pair of Yeezys will be able to get them without having to pay an extortionate amount. With a brand new colourway literally dropping every week, he’s definitely living up to his pledge. with that said, it looks like he wants every more people to own his signature shoe as he has just announced that he wants the infamous Yeezy Foam RNNR to cost just $20!
Making this bold statement on Joe Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Ye touched on a multitude of topics, but the most interesting has to got to take on the Foam RNNR. “So for me, I’m gonna make this shoe be $20.” he explained. “Money isn’t real, so the world should eventually be free.”
West went on to talk about poaching Nike designers and bringing them over to Yeezy, and how it landed him in some hot water. “We got guys that Nike sued us for, and one of these guys that I was trying to hire for two years. When he does his CAD drawings, it’s almost like one shot, one kill. sometimes when you design stuff, you gotta do it like five to eight times but his first one is so close to being ready to go to market because he sketches in a certain kind of way.”
